Solo Dog Walking
Single dog:
- 60 min – £16.50
- 45 min – £13.50
- 30 min – £10.50
Two dogs:
- 60 min – £22.50
- 45 min – £18.50
- 30 min – £14.50
Almost all our dog walking is one-on-one (or two dogs from the same household) and on foot from the house to the nearest green area. They include actively working with your dog using skills they already have, but not teaching new skills. Dogs can be on or off lead in a safe place, depending on your wishes.
Standard walks incorporate any time needed before leaving the house to calm your dog and get equipment on, as well as standard work with your dog while on the walk, including avoiding triggers, keeping focus when necessary, practising recall (on or off lead), etc. If your dog’s needs exceed this, you will find details of our training dog walks and visits on our Training Services page.
All our walks have a strong focus on encouraging your dog to explore a variety of environments, and we encourage sniffing, scenting, following trails, and investigating anything from a fallen tree to a different textural surface underfoot. These activities use brain energy and will build confidence over time.
Alison and Raffi do a little social dog walking each week, when this is in the interests of your dog and agreed with you in advance. You can meet them on our Meet the Gentle Team page. Paired walks are charged at the same rate as standard walks.
Meet-and-Greet Visit
Our standard meet-and-greet visit allows you and your dog to get to know your walker(s) and them to bond with your dog. During this visit, you can raise any worries or concerns, outline routines, and discuss your dog’s walk-related behaviour. The visit will take about 30 minutes.
We will also discuss access to your home, so you may want to consider the use of a key safe or having two sets of keys available. Your meet-and-greet visit for standard walks or visits is free of charge and is not a commitment to use our services.
We work from a database (Pet Sitter Plus) where your information is held securely and is only visible to you, Alison, and your walker(s). After your meet-and-greet visit, we will send you access to your portal, where you can add information about yourself and your dog. You can also book walks, cancel walks, manage invoices, make payments, and read our Terms and Conditions on there.
Flexibility
We are happy to accept clients with irregular work patterns, those with school holidays off, and those wanting variable days each week. To guarantee your walks, we need to know your requirements by Monday of the preceding week. However, we accept late bookings and can usually cover them. Our walkers do get busy, so the more notice, the better.

Gentle Energetic Solo Walks
We practice kindness, empathy, and patience in all our dealings with your dog, and our aim is a calm, enjoyable experience that will leave your dog relaxed and ready to sleep.
During their walk, your dog will be encouraged to engage with and process the environment using their senses. This uses more energy than forward walking alone, so we do both.
Walks cater to each dog’s unique needs and requirements, and the format of the visit may vary. This can be discussed at our initial meet-and-greet session.
Whatever length of service you select will include getting ready to go out, cleaning up and taking equipment off at the end, checking and refreshing water, sending you a brief report, and – of course – the walk itself.
Other requests could include food, medication, garden time, play, or to finish off with a 5-minute wind-down cuddle time.
Gentle Solo Puppy Visits (up to 8 months)

Single puppy:
- 60 min – £18.50
- 45 min – £15.50

If you have a second adult dog who needs care, contact us to discuss your options.
Two puppies:
- 60 min – £26.50
- 45 min – £22.50
- We don’t do a 30-minute visit for two puppies, as this isn’t long enough to give them both all they need.
Depending on your puppy’s age and your preferences, we can provide in-your-home care, first walks, basic training (toileting, down, wait, leave, etc.), puppy play, food, and even one-to-one gentle socialisation by arrangement.

We cater to each puppy’s unique needs and requirements, and the format of the visit will evolve as the puppy matures. This will be discussed at our initial Meet and Greet session.
