Reviews of our dog care

We rang Alison looking for some help whilst struggling with a challenging puppy we were boarding over the weekend. The puppy was big and was quite aggressive, constantly challenging my partner, and too full of energy for our flat. We were at our whits end by the Saturday night when we finally found Alison's number online. Even though she couldn't keep him for the night she sat and talked us through some expert advice on how to calm an 8 month old dog who was out of control before bedtime.
Speaking as a dog sitter myself, I would definitely recommend Alison's services as she really knows the ins and outs of dog care, and was lovely enough to help us late on a Saturday night.

Once again Alison and the team went above and beyond to look after Rosie whilst I was away:-) They know her needs so well and it means everything to have the piece of mind that she will be exceptionally well cared for - and having more adventures than her owner!

Alison was amazing looking after 2 old dogs in a student flat. The dogs were in a strange environment for them and quite frightened at the thought of us leaving them. Alison and the team have been supporting us with our Bedlington terrier, Woody, for over 1 year now. We met up with Alison when Woody first arrived and as new dog owners she was an amazing source of helpful information, inspiration and guidance. Alison has been extremely committed to making the best arrangements for Woody's care and is always flexible. We are delighted we chose Custom Canine Care and Woody is too!

I am the fortunate owner of a 18 month old patter dale/poodle cross aka Ozzy. Alison and the team have cared for Oz since a young puppy. Initially this was day care and Alison trained Oz (and me) in the basics and socialised him with all types of dogs. We now use home walks, occasional half days and holiday cover. The service is very flexible (my work circumstances frequently change at the last minute). Each day I now receive an e postcard which includes a pic and brief summary of the day's activity. On a recent holiday, Alison took Oz to Harrogate in the camper van. He injured his leg and she called me on holiday, kept me informed, cut short the break and booked him in with our home vets. Couldn't ask for anymore. Reliable, professional, experienced - in short I have total peace of mind.

I have a 3 year old border terrier called Bertie. I have been using Custom Canine Care since Bertie was only a puppy. We started with walks, then day care and now Bertie gets a short walk and a home visit. I am always full of praise for Alison and her team and I know that Bertie is receiving the best possible care! Bertie is a very reactive little terrier and Alison has always thought carefully about the best and most effective care for him, matching him with dogs he likes and walkers that understand him (even when he's having a bad day!).
